The flight departed around 1.17 pm on Friday from the Delhi airport to China. The special flight has been arranged to evacuate Indian nationals from Wuhan as Coronavirus out-break has taken 200 lives (none of them Indian) and arrived back with evacuates.
The departure got delayed as the Chinese authorities restrained six Indians from boarding the plane as they had very high temperatures. News agency ANI confirmed the news. Among the citizens who made it back are three minors and 211 Students. Most of the citizens in China are students.
The evacuated Indians will stay in a special quarantine facility setup by the Indian Army in Manesar, Delhi. The Army has set up a full-fledged operation for this purpose. The facility shall observe the evacuates for signs of infection in a two week period under a team of doctors and medical professionals. If after this period they show no sign of the virus, they shall be allowed to go home.
Another special flight shall take off from Delhi airport for Wuhan today at 12.50 pm from Delhi with another crew but, same doctors. Captain Amitabh Singh shall head the team again.
