Delta fined $50,000 for discriminating against Muslim passengers

Delta Airlines has been accused by the department of transportation from the United States of discrimination giving them a fine of $50,000. The report says Muslim passengers were discriminated against and taken off the planes. The department also has released the details of the incident happened in 2016 into flights. In both the incidents, the co-passengers and flight attendants became nervous about their behavior and sent them out.

“While we understand that our best customer service was not reflected in how the incident was handled, we disagree with the Department of Transportation’s contention that Delta engaged in discriminatory conduct,” said Delta spokeswoman Emma Kate Protis. “For that reason, we have worked to improve our investigative process since these incidents and we have supporting programs, policies, training and procedures that back up our commitments in this area.”
