As France prepares to evacuate its citizens from Wuhan, China, one Frenchman Philippe Klein, head of the International SOS Hospital in Wuhan, says he’ll stay back.
He further added- it’s not an act of heroism, it’s my job. Klein says he had thoroughly thought about his decision to stay. He says he’ll be more useful in Wuhan rather than in France.
A father of four, Klein has been working in China as a doctor for the past six years and is doing what he trained for. “I am a virus tamer,” he says, and staying back in China, feels “as if I was with a lion in its cage”.
