Kirk Douglas, the muscular actor with the dimple chin who starred in dozens of movies including “Lust for Life” and “Spartacus”, and also helped in fatally weakening the Hollywood blacklist, is no more.
The actor who fatally weakened the blacklist against the Communists and kept the reign for decades as a patriarch and maverick of Hollywood dies at the age of 103. His son Michael said “It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103,” on his Instagram account statement yesterday.
He further added saying for the world he was a legend of the golden era age of movies and who got to live well into his golden years as well. A humanitarian whose was committed to justice and the causes he believed in laying out a standard that inspires others even today.
