In the second week of February 2020, Google announced that it would bring about some new changes and would redesign Goggle maps as a part of the app’s 15th birthday. During these changes and redesign, the company informed that the users might experience some glitches, but things went ugly when a man was instructed to cross the Mississippi River to reach his destination by the app. The incident occurred at around 3 in the evening. The man fell through the frozen ice on the top of the river and nearly submerged. His call for help was heard and when the firefighters rescued him, he had already suffered a minor case of hypothermia.
