Mass masked wedding in the Philippines – Coronavirus

An annual mass wedding ceremony in the Philippines saw face masks and health checks included in the proceedings this year. The precautions have been brought in due to the threat of coronavirus.

The city of Bacolod, Philippines saw 220 couples married in the government-sponsored event. Participants had to complete health declarations, detailing a travel history for 14 days, the quarantine period across the globe for arrivals from China

“If our families are strong, the city of Bacolod becomes strong, too,” said Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who officiated at the function
