NASA’s Sun probe just spotted something entirely new
The sun is crucial for the existence of living beings. Being highly volatile, the sun undergoes numerous reactions which are still a mystery to mankind. The sun, in some instances, ejects particles that are charged into space with a very high velocity. This is termed as Coronal Mass ejections or simply CMEs. The bursts occur largely when a star is going through its active phase. The Parker Solar Probe of NASA could luckily capture such an outburst which was totally unpredictable.
While the ejection happened, the sun seemed to be calm and normal from the earth. An official at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Kelly Korreck quoted “If you’ve ever seen a coronal mass ejection image, you normally see a lot of activity in these images”. When gone through the video that was taken from the earth, the sun appeared to normal but the images collected by the probe revealed the fact that the sun was not all-calm during the time.
