According to a news by CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, another patient has tested positive for the Coronavirus from Wuhan, China.
The woman, reportedly a 60-year old Chicago resident had traveled to Wuhan. China and arrived back to the States on Jan 13. After returning, a few days later she began experiencing certain symptoms and went for a checkup. She is now hospitalized in an isolated room but, I’d in stable condition and her health is improving. This news was confirmed by the commissioner of Dr. Allison Arwady, the commissioner of Chicago’s Department of Public Health, Dr Allison Arwady on Jan 24th during a press conference.
He also added, the woman has made very limited interaction with the outside world and did not use any public transport or attend any large gathering either. Apart from her family and friends who live or come to her home she has made no contact with anyone else.
According to Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of CDC’s National Centre for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, at present there is no immediate risk to the public but, it can’t be denied the situation is evolving rapidly.
